Gujarati language
An interesting aside on the history of the Gujarati language: The Gujarati language was derived from the old western Rajasthani language around 1100-1500 AD. This language is an Indo Aryan one belonging to the Indo European family of languages. Native to the Indian state of Gujarat the language has roughly 46 million speakers worldwide. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, better known as the ‘Father of the Nation’ spoke Gujarati as a first language.
